On 15th May 2011, Pusat Rakyat LoyarBurok will be hosting a photography exhibition to raise money for tsunami victims in Japan. LoyarBurokker and photographer Colin Shafer visited the affected areas just before the tsunami hit. He was able to capture some beautiful photographs of these places and copies of the photos will be available for purchase at the exhibition. All proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Apart from the photographs, there will also be live music, food and a host of other exciting activities including a lucky draw where you can win some totally awesome prizes! It is our hope that you will join us in supporting a good cause and have fun at the same time.
We will be posting more details leading up to the event, so mark your calendars for 15th May 2011 and watch this space!
We will need all sorts of help (with ideas, equipment, promotion, sponsors etc.) so if you’d like to volunteer to help out in any way, send an email tojunewow [at] gmail [dot] com . We look forward to hearing from you!
