Sex workers have been conditioned to fear the police, resulting in a huge power gap to the extent that not many sex workers are brave enough to exert their rights. We can educate them on their rights, but they must also assert them.
HIV infection is a taboo in this country. You are ostracized and segregated. However, not many are aware the basics of how the infection is spread/contracted.
The Sex Worker’s Programme of Pink Triangle Foundation (PTF) is organizing the JOM KE CHOW KIT! carnival. KL Legal Aid Centre and MyConstitution will be there alongside Suhakam and Ministry of Health (OoOoo!) It’ll be an evening of fabulous performances, lots of info and really reeeaally about Sex and Sexuality in general.
